The “Le Cerchie” tray/centrepiece was designed by Michele De Lucchi for Alessi. The name of the tray comes from the circles that are visible in the design (Le Chercie is Italian for circles). The design of “Le Cerchie” reminiscent a square surrounded by a staircase. With this De Lucchi wanted to encapsulate the minimalist style of Italian architecture. He stated that ''Le Cerchie brings to mind a kind of classical amphitheatre whose actors are the objects placed at the centre of the tray.'' The white finishing absorbs the light, developing shadows that highlight the surrounding steps. The large dimensions of Le cerchie make it suitable for use as a serving tray or a generous centrepiece.
This Le Cerchie tray is in new and unused condition. Delivered with original packaging.
